Wagon maintainer

Covers all aspects of wagon maintenance – bogies, body, wheels and axles, bearings, draft gear, structure, hoppers, doors and brake equipment.

Modules can be provided as a single course or separately and modified or developed to suite your specific fleet or maintainer skill levels.

Suitable for new to more experienced maintainers, the course provides a well-rounded knowledge of wagon maintenance, testing and adjustment.

ECP braking system

Separate courses for wagon and locomotive maintainers and reliability staff ensure a detailed and thorough understanding of the ECP system, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis.

ECP train driver familiarisation provides an understanding of the ECP brake system, train operation integration, failure modes and recovery. Suitable for drivers and driver trainers to cut recovery delays and operational confusion.

These courses focus on an end result of ECP train reliability.

As with all our courses, derailment recovery has been developed from many years of experience.

Suitable for recovery teams and recovery supervisors, the course also looks at organisational recovery preparedness.

Solidly based on safe work methods, risk assessment processes and site safety, derailment recovery provides a safe, practical and comprehensive re-railing system for jacks, working with cranes, ramps and managing more complex incidents.

Derailment recovery

Currently being re-written for a modern railways needs. The new course will include as an optional modules for ABX type control systems, ECP and relayed train brake testing and diagnosis as well as the traditional triple valve relayed and non-relayed air brake systems.

With layers of simple concepts building to complex operation, the new course aims to increase operational and diagnostic understanding and efficiency with fault finding and diagnostic processes for a safe, reliable train.
